It's been a while since I've posted here so I thought I would check in and let you know how things have been going.
On January 9th the union failed again for the 3rd time. What's amazing is it's by the same number all three times. This despite the number of eligible employees changing by about 600 people each time. If the fix is not in I would be amazed. Now there's talk of Delta buying Northwest and United and Continental merging. So needless to say I'll probably be enjoying unemployment sometime in the next couple of years after 20 years wasted. I'm a little old to be changing course now so what ever happens I can't control and will just have to roll with it.
s far as new planes I'm just getting ready to build the plane in the picture. It's the F-86 Sabre. It was flown during the Korean war and flew against the Mig 15. The F-86 had a 15 to 1 kill ratio. Pretty impressive. It was flown by the Air force. I look forward to getting it out and flying it this Spring.
The weather was nice for about a week but we're getting ready to pay for it later this week. By Saturday the high is only supposed to be 17. I'll be lucky enough to get to work in it for 10 hours. YUK. Oh well Spring training is only about 5 weeks away and I always look forward to it as I know nice weather will be on the horizon as well as the return of the humming birds.
So as you can see I'm going through the winter blues right now but every day brings us one day closer to spring and better weather.

Whoa Nellie, it's cold here too. Cierah has a bit of a cold AND she's going to a birthday party this evening. Did I mention it's a SWIM party? With a cold. Nice, I know (yep, I don't have the heart to cancel on her or the birthday girl; foolish, I know).
Great plane. Hope you get to send it up soon. And sorry to hear about the union vote coupled with the possibility of mergers. Very unsettling. You know, American is selling Eagle too AND we're moving in to a new airport here in Indy in the next year. MEGA rent. Not a good combo. Like you, we have no choice but to ride it out. I'm getting better at crossing my bridges as they come. We just have little say otherwise (unfortunately).
We have a tenatitive court finalization date and you're the first one I've told. It might be March 7th. IN has *not* forwarded their report to OH yet. When they do, it could get hung up in Columbus. But tenatively, we're on the schedule for March 7th. Too bad it couldn't be Easter weekend.
And you know, I watch the Academy Award for the very same reason you get psyched about spring training; because the weather in CA is sunny and mild and it reminds me that spring is just around the corner for us. I usually make a mini "party" out of it, with finger foods, etc.
Gotta run. Hello to Lo and master Hunter too.
Love,
Pone
